             abstract = "In this paper the use of adaptive bisecting K-Means is addressed 
                         for setting a background in images of Landsat 8. The bands 4, 3 
                         and 2 were considered. The technique used in the study is the 
                         K-Means with some adjustments to separate images into clusters. It 
                         was considered the variance in brightness, clouds, snow and other 
                         clusters with images without the presence of those variables, to 
                         define a background image. Different set of images with lake, 
                         desert, mountain and urban scenarios have been tested. Promising 
                         results were presented with these techniques.",
